Behind the website
Bryan Dunleavy was born in Wolverton many years before Milton Keynes was conceived. He has published several books about the history of the area.
John Taylor grew up in Fenny Stratford, where he still lives, and has written and published for 50 years a great deal about the district.
How the site is organised.
All articles are tone found under the heading of the community to which they belong. Thus, anything about Wavendon can be discovered from the Wavendon page.
There are two ways to navigate to these pages. There is an index, with links, on the Communities page. Or you can find the same pages through The Hundreds page. Here communities are grouped according to the ancient division of hundreds. This might be useful if you are searching for communities which are close together. For example: Woburn and Aspley Guise can be found together in the Manshead Hundred, or Haversham and Hanslope are grouped in the Bunsty Hundred.
